My yoga this week 15/7/18
It's hot in London this week and I feel like I spend a lot of my time changing my t-shirt, showering and trying to cool down running between places. I am happy it's warm and sunny. It's not very typical for London so I am embracing it and my backpack with outfit changes.Mon1hr Yin Yoga Class - attendedI really enjoy doing Yin. It helps to slow down my mind and be present. It helps me bring awareness to my body whilst I am lengthening and strengthening my body.Tues1hr Postnatal with baby class - teaching1 hr Vinyasa Class - teaching1 hr 15min Prenatal Class - attendedI get a lot of satisfaction teaching new mothers with the little ones wiggling around the place. Their bodies are readjusting and dealing with new demands. I feel like they're very vocal in sharing what's working and what areas that need attention. I do my best to incorporate asanas to address their issues from week to week.In the Vinyasa class, I focused on building into a deep camel pose and heart openers. It's a lunchtime class so the students are focused on getting the most out of class before heading back to work.I attended a prenatal class and did the class with all the yummy mummies to be. I like to experience different teachers to learn from their way of teaching and see if there are new things that I can incorporate or use at a later date in my own classes. I am and will be a forever student.Wed45min Corporate Class - teaching1hr 15min Vinyasa Flow Class - attendedMy corporate class focused on opening the shoulders and hips. The vinyasa flow class I attended was really challenging and it was with a new teacher. It made me think about my alignment a lot more than I would if I practised at home.Thurs1hr Vinyasa Flow - teaching1hr Corporate class - teachingThe wonderful Thursday corporate class really make me smile and I can see their progress week on week. They're a fun group to teach.Fri1hr Prenatal Class - attendedMy second one in a week. This class was with a teacher that I cover for so I like to go and be a friendly face with the ladies in the weeks prior to my teaching.Sat1 hr Vinyasa Class - teachingI taught a small group of friends and enjoyed seeing them embrace yoga. The flow was slow and focusing on alignment.SunDay offI felt like I needed a relaxed day and simply went on a long walk for a few hours. It was good to be out in the fields and meadows in the sunshine. Teaching hours – 5hours 45minsPersonal Practice – I didn't do any this weekClasses attended – 4hours 30mins
